Message App

Message App ("we", "our", or "the App") is an Android messaging application designed to allow users to send, receive, manage, organize, and interact with SMS messages on their device.
This Privacy Policy explains what information and device permissions the App may access, how that information is used, and how third-party services used by the App may process information.
Message App may request SMS-related permissions to provide its core messaging functionality. These functions may include reading SMS messages, sending messages, receiving incoming messages, displaying conversations, managing message status, and providing other messaging-related features requested by the user.
The App may request access to contacts so that phone numbers can be displayed with corresponding contact names and other relevant contact information where applicable. Contact information is used for messaging-related functionality and is not intentionally provided to advertising services for ad targeting.
Message App may use notifications to notify users about incoming messages and other relevant messaging events.
Certain functionality may require Message App to be selected as the device's default SMS application. This allows the App to perform functions associated with an Android SMS handler.
If a user chooses to schedule an SMS, the App may store or process information necessary to send the scheduled message at the selected time.
The App may process and/or store information necessary to provide features such as archived conversations, starred messages, blocked numbers, and recycle-bin functionality.
Message App uses Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google.
Depending on the user's location, consent choices, device settings, applicable law, and Google's advertising configuration, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, advertising interactions, and diagnostic information for purposes such as serving and measuring advertisements, preventing fraud and abuse, and improving advertising services.

Message App may use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain and manage advertising consent and privacy choices where required.
Depending on applicable privacy regulations and the user's region, users may be presented with options concerning advertising-related data processing, personalized advertising, and participating advertising partners.
Where required and available, the App may provide a privacy-options entry point that allows users to review or change applicable privacy choices.
Message App uses Firebase Remote Config, a Google Firebase service, to remotely configure certain application behavior and feature settings, including advertising configuration.
The App is designed not to include SMS message content, phone numbers, contact names, OTPs, or similar messaging content as Remote Config parameters sent for advertising purposes.

We do not sell users' SMS messages or contact information.
Certain technical or advertising-related information may be processed by third-party services used by the App, including Google AdMob and Firebase, subject to their respective privacy policies, applicable law, and the user's privacy choices.
Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law, legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, prevent fraud, or address abuse.
Messaging-related information required for the App's functionality may be stored on or accessed from the user's device and Android's messaging system.
Information associated with features such as scheduled messages, blocked numbers, archived conversations, starred messages, application preferences, or recycle-bin functionality may remain on the device as necessary to provide those features or until removed according to available App controls.
Third-party services may retain information they process according to their own data-retention policies.
We take reasonable measures in the design of the App to limit unnecessary disclosure of sensitive messaging information. However, no method of electronic storage, processing, or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Message App is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through our own servers.
Third-party services used by the App operate according to their own policies and applicable legal requirements.
Depending on the Android version and device, users may manage certain App permissions through Android system settings.
Users may also have controls within the App for messaging features, stored application data, and applicable advertising/privacy choices.
Revoking a permission may prevent the corresponding feature from functioning correctly.
The App uses third-party services that operate according to their own terms and privacy policies.
